Our research focuses on the physical properties of matter at the nanoscale. We are currently investigating atomically thin layers of graphite as a potential platform for electronic devices. This line of research draws on our experience with carbon nanotubes. We are also investigating the electric and magnetic properties of free clusters of metal atoms with a molecular beam machine.
